Deep Freeze is a very good s/w that can be used to protect you computer from virus, Trojan horse, worms and other unwanted stuffs. It's the ultimate s/w for internet users. You just put the status of Deep Freeze in the frozen mode, restart your computer and start surfing over the internet. Next time you restart your computer, your computer will be in the previous state. The entire virus and the worms will be gone. Even any changes made by you won't be there. So, you must be thinking that this is a very good tool for security and everybody should have it installed in their computer. But, this s/w has a serious drawback. If you have loaded the status of Deep Freeze to frozen state and if you have forgotten the password, then you are doomed. There is no other option except formatting your hard disk because in frozen state, you won't be able to save anything in your computer and without being able to save anything in your computer, it's of no use.
My cousin brother owns a cyber and had a similar problem. He forgot the password and was unable to install anything. After restarting the computer, everything he installed was gone. He asked me and I searched over the internet to finally find a solution. There is another s/w (.exe file) called Deep Freeze Unfreezer which can be used to change the status of Deep Free without the need of your Deep Freeze password. It can be downloaded from http://usuarios.arnet.com.ar/fliamarconato/pages/edeepunfreezer.html . I got him this s/w and his problem was solved in a minute.
